Mesembryanthemum nodiflorum is commonly called Slender-Leaved Ice Plant.

The Slender-Leaved Ice plant has high concentrations of salt, which are supposed to keep other plants from encroaching on it.

Mesembryanthemum nodiflorum iceplant contains mesembrine like Sceletium tortuosum or Kanna.
